Amanda McKenzie, M.A., is the Director of Office of Academic Integrity<\/a>\u00a0 and has overseen this unit since 2012. She was also the Director of Quality Assurance of Academic Programs at the University of Waterloo from 2016 to 2023. McKenzie was instrumental in building a central Quality Assurance Office at Waterloo and developing efficiencies in program reviews.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She has been at the forefront of academic integrity initiatives on a provincial, national, and international level. Amanda is a subject matter expert in this area and has travelled to Greece, Mexico, Czechia, India and Montenegro to speak and consult. She has also published several articles and book chapters in the field. In addition, she has created learning modules on academic integrity for undergraduates and graduate students and remedial workshops to help students to make positive decisions that support their success.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Amanda served as part of the International Center for Academic Integrity<\/a> since 2014, founding the Canadian branch of ICAI, and was an Officer on the Board of Directors from 2018-2023. She is an active member of the Academic Integrity Council of Ontario (AICO)<\/a> and served as the past Chair and Secretary\/outreach Coordinator. She currently sits on the Editorial Board of Canadian Perspectives on Academic Integrity and the Business Ethics and Leadership Journal and is a registered auditor and reviewer<\/a> for the Academic Quality Agency (AQA) for New Zealand Universities.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Her current areas of interest are the intersection of academic integrity and quality assurance and the impacts of GenAI on education. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
