Erikson holds a PhD in psychology from Lund University in Sweden and became an Associate Professor of psychology at the University of Gothenburg in 2015. He has held various leadership positions at the University of Bor\u00e5s in Sweden, both as head of department and as dean, and served for seven years as Chair of the collegial Research and Education Board. In the latter role, he was responsible for executing and developing the university\u2019s internal quality assurance processes. He is currently the Vice-Chancellor\u2019s advisor on international relations at the University of Bor\u00e5s. In this role, a key focus is on international developments related to quality assurance and enhancement. He has also participated in reviews of academic quality assurance systems for both the Swedish and Norwegian national quality assurance agencies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Together with various colleagues, Dr. Erikson has published internationally peer-reviewed articles on academic quality. These have addressed topics such as course evaluations, critical thinking, and learning outcome models, as well as teacher roles and teaching practices. He has also published on academic freedom.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Through these roles, Dr. Erikson has built an extensive national and international network in the field of quality assurance and enhancement, engaging in working groups and participating in both national and international conferences. Throughout these assignments and undertakings, academic integrity has been a recurring theme &#8211; particularly reflected in a focus on academic responsibility as a necessary counterpart to academic freedom.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Dr. Martin G.
