Accreditation body: High Council for Evaluation of Research and Higher Education<\/a> (Hc\u00e9res), France<\/p>\n

Accreditation criteria: HCERES External<\/a> evaluation<\/a> standards<\/a> for<\/a> doctorates<\/a> out<\/a> of<\/a> France<\/a><\/p>\n

Accreditation body decision: five-year unreserved accreditation (17.06.2019)<\/p>\n

17 June 2019 the Accreditation Commission of French High Council for Evaluation of Research and Higher Education (Hc\u00e9res) took its accreditation decisions for the two PhDs in Economics from Kyiv National University of Trade and Economics (KNUTE) and Simon Kuznets Kharkiv National University of Economics (KhNEU). The decision was to grant five-year unreserved accreditation for each of the programs.<\/p>\n

The accreditation procedure was done under the European Erasmus+ project named C3QA \u201cPromotion internationalization of research through establishment of Cycle 3 QA System in line with the European Agenda\u201d. It took 8 month from the decision of the Universities to run the external evaluation and accreditation up to the Hc\u00e9res accreditation decision, while all the internal quality assurance regulations had already existed and had effectively been working in the Universities at the start of the procedure in November of 2018.<\/p>\n

The procedure consisted of 3 main steps:<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
Stage<\/strong><\/td>\nTime period<\/strong><\/td>\nBrief description of a stage<\/strong><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
1<\/td>\nNovember 2018 \u2013 January 2019<\/td>\nElaboration and submission of self-evaluation report drafted by the University team in charge of the program, according to the Hc\u00e9res standards, framework and evidence, specified by Hc\u00e9res.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
2<\/td>\nFebruary 2019 \u2013 May 2019<\/td>\nExternal peer-review by the panel of experts, including foreign academics, a PhD student and a business representative: 6 experts which are led by a chair and coached by a Hc\u00e9res representative during the whole process. The stage consisted of:\n

1)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 desk-review of the self-evaluation report;<\/p>\n

2)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 site-visit by the panel of experts;<\/p>\n

3)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 drafting of the evaluation report;<\/p>\n

4)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 University feedback on evaluation report;<\/p>\n

5)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 drafting the final report and its submission to the Hc\u00e9res Accreditation Commission<\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
