On 9 April 2026, the National Agency for Higher Education Quality Assurance held a round table “discussion on the topic “Teacher Training: Key Aspects to Define in the Higher Education Standard?” at the Zhytomyr Ivan Franko State University.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Participants discussed the conceptual foundations of modern teacher training in the context of reforms and security challenges. In particular, the discussion focused on strategic guidelines for the development of teacher education, the pedagogical component of programmes under speciality A4 \u2018Secondary Education\u2019, and the awarding of professional qualifications in the field of \u2018Education\u2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Particular attention was paid to the role of higher education standards as a tool for shaping programmes and ensuring their quality, as well as to the practices involved in their design.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Following the round table, a decision was taken to establish a working group to develop proposals regarding higher education standards for the A4 specialisation \u2018Secondary Education\u2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The exchange of experience and the development of joint approaches to improving higher education standards in teacher training will contribute to enhancing the quality of teacher education and the development of competent, modern teachers capable of responding to today\u2019s challenges.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
