On 5 May, Andrii Butenko, NAQA Head, and Oleksandr Khymenko, Head of the Secretariat, took part in a panel discussion \u2018The Third Mission of the University: Collaboration between Education, Science, Business, Communities and the State for Sustainable Development and Social Impact\u2019 as part of the international scientific and practical conference “Higher Education in the Modern World: National Challenges, Transnational Perspectives and Gender Issues”. The event took place at the Nizhyn Mykola Gogol State University, with the participation of representatives from diplomatic missions, management and academics from higher education institutions in Ukraine, as well as a number of countries in Europe, Asia, America and Africa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In his speech, Andrii Butenko focused on plans to improve the higher education system and the issues that arise during the accreditation of study programmes. Oleksandr Khymenko spoke about legislative developments regarding academic integrity and highlighted the new powers granted to higher education institutions following the adoption of the Law of Ukraine \u201cOn Academic Integrity\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The event featured participants\u2019 views on equal and sustainable partnerships in the new geopolitical environment, the advantages of individual national higher education systems, and the role of universities in the lives of individual countries and communities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
