On 7 May, NAQA hosted a round table discussion at the National Defence University of Ukraine NAQA round table “Specifics of Implementing the Law of Ukraine ‘On Academic Integrity’ in the Educational Process for Higher Education Institutions in the Security and Defence Sector”. The event brought together representatives from twenty two higher education institutions in the security and defence sector.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
During the opening of the event, NAQA Head, Andrii Butenko, emphasised the importance of implementing the Law \u201cOn Academic Integrity\u201d, noting in particular its impact on the functioning of internal systems for ensuring academic integrity and taking into account the specific characteristics of higher education institutions in the security and defence sector.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Ivan Nazarov, NAQA Vice Head, spoke about academic integrity as a component of the internal system for ensuring the quality of education. Leontii Shypilov, Head of the Academic Integrity and One-Time Councils\u2019 Operation Department at NAQA, outlined the specific procedures for the revocation of academic degrees and academic titles within the framework of the updated legislative framework.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The event was moderated by Bohdan Morklianyk, NAQA Vice Head, and Volodymyr Medvediev, NAQA member and Chair of the Agency\u2019s Military Education Committee.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
