On August 1, NAQA meeting with members of Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) Yuliia Kukharenko and Michael Leskiw took place. They visited Ukraine on their own initiative to assist the educational community in receiving international grants. Their aim was also a series of meetings with representatives of research institutions, higher education institution and governmental organizations, which will help them to get general information about the Ukrainian educational system from different sources and to influence more effectively. The cooperation with NAQA as a single agency for higher education quality assurance in Ukraine has an important role in implementing this idea.
During the meeting, the participants discussed the up-to-date problems of the HEIs in Ukraine. The methods of effective research launching in study process by educational applicants were considered. NAQA promotion of instruments that will help the institutions in receiving international grants were outlined as well. Yuliia and Michael have also shown communication vectors with the education community: creating webinars, educational courses and developing a common information platform.
MIT is one of the best technical university in the USA, and worldwide, which for 4 years took the first place in the QS World University Rankings. NAQA is grateful to the representatives of such successful institution for Ukrainian education system active support.
