On 31 May, the UNODC Anti-Corruption Training Module Series was presented by the USAID Justice for All Program and the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime.
This event gathered representatives of law schools, academics, education and anti-corruption experts, and students. The main goal of the event was to discuss the role of education in fighting corruption and to develop a culture of zero tolerance for corruption in Ukrainian higher education institutions.
The opening speech was given by Andrii Butenko, who noted that corruption is one of the main negative factors affecting the quality of higher education.
Participants also discussed the role of higher education in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals in regard to fighting corruption, as well as the effective educational actions in this area and the experience of applying the Series of University Modules on Fighting Corruption in Education.
