On July 5, Andrii Butenko, Olena Yeremenko, Oleksandra Osiiuk, and Maksym Folomieiev met with representatives of the educational department of the Ukrainian IT company Genesis.
Oleksii Nishchyk and Andrii Sidliarenko from Genesis explained how the company joins efforts with educators and the state to create educational solutions to strengthen the IT product market. In particular, in partnership with the Ministry of Digital Transformation and the Ministry of Education and Science, Genesis is creating a system of All-Ukrainian educational courses on product IT and organizing training for teachers who integrate All-Ukrainian courses into their study programmes. In the 2022/23 academic year, almost 600 teachers from 160 higher education institutions completed such training to further integration and teaching of the first course “Creation and Development of IT Products”.
During the meeting, the parties also discussed opportunities to deepen cooperation, including the involvement of NAQA specialists in improving the company’s courses, the participation of Genesis employees in the accreditation process, and the possibility of jointly creating an educational product on quality assurance.
The involvement of employers in the educational process is one of the important elements of quality assurance. NAQA is grateful to Genesis for its initiative aimed at improving IT education in Ukraine.
