Interaction with other foreign agencies is an important step towards international recognition of the agency’s activities in ensuring the quality of education. Therefore, NAQA regularly holds working, consultative and informational meetings aimed to strengthen cooperation with our international partners.
The meeting held on 20 July with the Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education (QAA), UK, got us an opportunity to discuss important issues and gave impetus to new initiatives. From the NAQA side a meeting was attended by Vice-Head Natalia Stukalo and International Project Manager Mariia Piddobrivna. QAA was represented by Director of International & Professional Services Eduardo Ramos and International Relations Manager Shannon Stowers.
The meeting began with a review of the roots of our partnership: past meetings, joint events and staff training. NAQA and QAA have a long history of cooperation, more than a year of which has been in the status of official partners, which was enshrined in a Memorandum of Understanding.
The participants of the meeting also considered possible future joint areas of cooperation, such as mutual international accreditation of study programmes, staff training, etc.
QAA`s representatives noted that they acknowledge the efforts made by NAQA to ensure the quality of higher education in Ukraine in such difficult times for the country.
