Today, February 14, a two-day strategic meeting and a series of consultations of the Ukrainian delegation and a wide range of Ukrainian online participants with the head representatives and experts of ENQA and EQAR has started.
The purpose of the meeting is to assess the progress in developing the quality assurance system of Ukrainian higher education in accordance with ESG-2015. One of the key tasks is to determine the next steps for NAQA to become a full member of ENQA and to be included in EQAR.
During the meeting, the Ukrainian delegation is going to present to European colleagues the results of the implementation of the National Action Plan for External Quality Assurance for 2022-2023 and is going to discuss the achievements and challenges in developing the quality assurance system in higher education in Ukraine. It should be noted that NAQA, together with the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Education, Science and Innovation, is consistently working to improve the regulatory framework and implement ESG-2015 standards and recommendations in the Ukrainian educational environment.
In order to become a full member of ENQA and to be included in EQAR, NAQA participates in the Erasmus+ project “Supporting European QA Agencies in meeting the ESG-2015” (SEQA-ESG II).
We are grateful for the warm hospitality of our partners, the Hungarian Accreditation Committee (MAB), that provided the venue for the meeting. For security reasons, in agreement with our European colleagues, the meeting is being held in a hybrid format in Budapest, Hungary, a country that borders Ukraine.
