On 9 April, NAQA hosted a meeting with representatives of the working group on the development of the professional standard “Journalist”.
The meeting was attended by:
- from the National Agency: NAQA Head Andrii Butenko, NAQA Vice Heads Olena Yeremenko and Nataliia Stukalo, Head of Public Relations and International Cooperation Department Maksym Folomieiev;
- from the working group: HR Director of the Suspilne Broadcasting Company Viktoria Sydorenko, Manager of the Public Broadcasting Academy Olha Tkachenko, and Acting Director of the Ukrainian Institute of Advanced Training of Television, Radio and Press, Secretary of the National Union of Journalists of Ukraine Hlib Holovchenko.
The meeting discussed the directions and prospects for developing professional standards in the media and their importance for higher education quality assurance. In addition, they discussed the prospects of holding joint events for the field of knowledge “061 Journalism”, as well as the expediency of actively involving journalism professionals in sectoral expert councils and the register of accreditation experts for higher education quality assurance and their further professional development within the developed standard.
