On 13 June, Olena Yeremenko, NAQA Vice Head, held a methodological seminar “Development of Quality Culture and Problems of Academic Integrity in a Medical University” at Zaporizhzhia State Medical and Pharmaceutical University, which was attended by more than 200 participants.
In her speech, she highlighted the development of external and internal quality assurance systems for higher education, summarised the long-term experience of accreditation of the university’s study programmes and introduced future innovations in the field of quality assurance in higher education provided for by Ukrainian legislation. She also touched upon the quality of the development and improvement of study programmes and described the cases of academic dishonesty considered by the Ethics Committee regarding theses in the field of medical sciences.
At the end of the webinar, Olena Yeremenko answered the participants’ questions, in particular about academic integrity in teaching and learning materials, objective criteria for the internal quality system of a higher education institution, and the use of artificial intelligence.
