The National Agency for Higher Education Quality Assurance has participated in the inaugural conference on the occasion of the establishment of the Ukrainian Network for the Recognition of Foreign Education Qualifications UaReNet

The event was organized by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine and the National Information Centre of Academic Mobility ENIC Ukraine (State-owned company «Information and Image Centre») and took place on March, 2 in Kyiv and brought together participants from different countries and organizations. The high-rank officials of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, the National Agency for Higher Education Quality Assurance (NAQA), Ukrainian Higher Education Institutions Rectors’ Union, National Erasmus+ Office in Ukraine, honorable guests and the representatives of 85 HEIs of Ukraine – the first to join the network took part in the conference.

The Deputy Chairman of the NAQA Natalia Stukalo presented the general information on the mission, structure and activities of the NAQA to the conference members and foreign guests. In her report, Ms. Natalia Stukalo emphasized that the NAQA, ENIC Ukraine and the newly established UaReNet Ukrainian network for the recognition of foreign education qualifications share common tasks, principles and strategic goals, and therefore cooperation between these organizations is extremely important to ensure the higher education quality, in particular with regard to the recognition of foreign educational qualifications.

Ukraine has become the 10th country within 55 ENIC-NARIC members that set up a national network for the recognition of foreign educational qualifications. This is a decisive and very important step forward, as it the only way to achieve the high quality and internationalization of higher education in Ukraine is to work in harmony and cooperation.
