On November 8, the Head of Analytical and Training Support Sector Oxana Trebenko and the head of SEC 07.1 Nataliia Shalimova conducted a training for newly elected members of sectoral expert councils on preparing and writing an expert report of SEC.
NAQA Vice Head Bohdan Morklyanyk delivered a welcoming speech, focusing on the prospects for constructive cooperation, the effectiveness of a multi-level system of internal response to educational requests, and innovations in approaches to solving challenges.
NAQA Head Andrii Butenko, contributed to the discussion, emphasizing the importance of interdisciplinary cooperation, interaction with the agency’s staff, and the transition from the declared to the effective: “Our task is to ensure that the procedures at the university become real, not imitations.”
At the training, the participants discussed the importance of critical assessment of the experts reports regarding the compliance of study programmes with the established criteria. They also considered methods for determining the level of compliance of study programmes with quality criteria, analyzing practices for compliance with standards, evaluating positive practices, and formulating conclusions about shortcomings and strategies for further solutions. Additionally, participants were introduced to approaches to improving study programmes according to the SMART principle. At the end, an open discussion took place regarding the finalization of the SEC expert report.
