Webinar “Current Issues of Awarding Professional Qualifications by Higher Education Institutions”

On November 29, the National Agency for Higher Education Quality Assurance together with the National Qualifications Agency held a webinar on “Current Issues of Awarding Professional Qualifications by Higher Education Institutions”.

During the event, the speakers – Vice Head of the National Qualifications Agency Dmytro Liakh, NAQA member Olena Kolesnikova, vice head of the NAQA 14th Sectoral Expert Council Ivan Lutsenko and Head of the Study Programme Accreditation Department Hanna Denyskina – reviewed in detail the main provisions of the regulatory framework, explained the regulations for awarding professional qualifications by higher education institutions, shared international experience, current trends in interaction between education and labour market, as well as presented positive examples of educational innovations implementation.

Among the challenges highlighted by the experts were the insufficient quality of communication between stakeholders and higher education institutions, as well as inconsistency between formally declared qualifications and the actual provision of educational components in HEIs.

We sincerely thank the speakers for their in-depth and structured presentation of the main aspects of awarding professional qualifications by higher education institutions.

The recording of the webinar is already available on our YouTube channel.
