IV International scientific and practical conference “Development of Internal Quality Assurance Systems in Ukrainian HEIs: Achievements and Challenges – External and Internal Perspectives”

‘The entire history of accreditations and building internal ESG assurance systems is built on trust. But trust must also be earned and its status maintained. We don’t need imitation systems, we need real internal quality assurance systems,’ said Andrii Butenko, NAQA Head, on December 5 at the panel discussion “The Role of Universities in Ensuring the Quality of Higher Education in Ukraine (the Vision of State and Public Institutions)” at this year’s IV International Scientific and Practical Conference “Development of Internal Quality Assurance Systems in Ukrainian HEIs: Achievements and Challenges – External and Internal Perspectives” held at Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv.

The event focused on the role of state and public institutions in ensuring the quality of higher education, synergy of efforts in strengthening the sustainability of higher education institutions, development of internationalisation and determining the priorities of education quality for the labour market. Andrii Butenko emphasised the importance of post-accreditation monitoring to ensure the continuous progress of higher education institutions, expressed his opinion on the readiness of internal quality systems for institutional accreditation and stressed the need for their orientation towards the participants of the educational process.

We would like to thank the participants and partners for the opportunity to have a discussion and interest in the quality of education in Ukraine.
