Ballistic missile attack at Sumy city cente

On Palm Sunday, a Christian religious holiday, the russian military insidiously attacked civilians with ballistic missiles at Sumy city center. Dead and wounded people lay in the streets, a burning trolleybus with passengers inside… So far, more than 30 people have been killed and over 80 injured, including children.

A few days earlier, NAQA held a regional seminar for educators in Sumy – those who continue to teach, care about quality of education and invest in Ukraine’s future despite ongoing security threats. Today, it has been reported that the buildings of Sumy State University, a leader among Ukrainian universities in rankings based on SDGs, have been significantly damaged.

Unfortunately, this is yet another russian crime against peaceful, civilian Ukrainians. Another bloody reminder of the russians’ true intentions, which are not about peace, but genocide, intimidation and targeted terror against Ukraine’s civilian population.
