All-Ukrainian professional seminar on higher education quality assurance in the field of A7 ‘Physical Culture and Sports’ 

‘Ensuring the quality of education is a daily, painstaking task aimed at the long term. Accreditation is not just documentation, but an effective mechanism for improving the educational process. It is important to have a clear vision for the next five years in order to achieve quality results,’  

– said Andriy Butenko, NAQA Head, at the All-Ukrainian Professional Seminar on Higher Education Quality Assurance in the field of ‘Education’ in the specialty A7 ‘Physical Culture and Sports,’ held at the National University of Physical Education and Sports of Ukraine.  

The speaker emphasised the need to bring Ukrainian education in line with international and national standards, the synergy between internal quality assurance bodies and higher education institutions, and presented NAQA innovations, in particular the results of post-accreditation monitoring. The main focus, Andrii Butenko noted, is on ensuring the professional readiness of students and the high quality of study programmes.  

NAQA Vice Head Olena Yeremenko presented statistics on the accreditation of programmes in the A7 ‘Physical Culture and Sports’ speciality and reviewed current issues and systemic errors faced by NAQA. The speaker emphasised the importance of a competence-based approach to study programmes and strict compliance with current legislation.  

NAQA Accreditation Department Head, Hanna Denyskina revealed the procedural aspects of self-assessment of study programmes, rules for document preparation and typical errors identified during NAQA’s work.  

Oksana Shynkaruk, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs, presented successful practices in educational activities implemented at the university, as well as the process of informatisation and virtualisation of education, in particular the integration of artificial intelligence into the educational process. 

The discussion highlighted the need for a systematic approach to ensuring the quality of education and effective communication.
