The National Agency for Higher Education Quality Assurance delegated Halyna Lopushniak, Chair of the Sectoral Expert Council 23 ‘Social Work,’ to participate in the round table ‘Study Programmes in Social Work: Development Through Analysis of the Quality of Training for Specialists in Child Protection.’ The event took place on 22 September 2025 on the initiative of the National Social Service of Ukraine and NGO ‘League of Social Workers’ with the support of UNICEF.
Representing the National Agency, Halyna Lopushniak emphasised the importance of high-quality training for social workers who are able to act effectively in crisis situations, protect children’s rights and defend their interests. She stressed that, along with external quality assurance in education, it is important to develop an academic culture of trust, partnership and social responsibility.
The round table participants discussed the tasks, content and procedure for reviewing social work study programmes in the context of training specialists for practical work in accordance with international standards, as well as the goals and objectives of the Strategy for Ensuring the Right of Every Child in Ukraine to Grow Up in a Family Environment for 2024-2028.
