From 29 September to 02 October, Anna Shylina, Leading Specialist of the PR and International Cooperation Department, took part in a Staff week organised by the Swedish Higher Education Authority (UKÄ).
Anna Shylina shared the agency’s approaches to external quality assurance and internationalisation processes with colleagues from ANACEC (Moldova), CTI (France), NCEQE (Georgia), NVAO (Netherlands), SAAHE (Slovakia), SKVC (Lithuania) and UKÄ. During the four-day intensive programme, participants discussed the key challenges facing agencies in their efforts to comply with ESG and in the course of evaluating universities. An important part of the discussion was the topic of internationalisation, namely ensuring a European approach to quality assurance in joint programmes. Representatives of the Royal Institute of Technology shared their experience in creating and implementing joint programmes. The final part of the mobility programme was a presentation by the director of AEQES (Belgium) and the Chair of the ENQA Agency Review Committee, Eva Jaroszewski, on the revision of ESG and a discussion among participants on the upcoming changes to European standards and approaches to their implementation.
Also, as a sign of long-term and fruitful cooperation, NAQA expressed its gratitude to the Swedish Higher Education Authority.
