All-Ukrainian professional seminar on higher education quality assurance in the field of tourism, hotel and restaurant business and management 

On October 16, 2025, NAQA held an all-Ukrainian professional seminar on higher education quality assurance in the field of tourism, hotel and restaurant business, and management in partnership with the State University of Trade and Economics (SUTE).

The event, moderated by Nataliia Stukalo, NAQA Vice Head, brought together 150 in-person and 260 online participants, including representatives of higher education institutions, study programme leaders, and members of sectoral expert councils.

The seminar was opened by SUTE rector Anatolii Mazaraki, who familiarized participants with the university’s activities, and NAQA Head Andrii Butenko with a report on the results of external evaluation in fields 07 “Management and Administration” and 24 “Service Sector”.

The rest of the program included speeches by Ivan Nazarov, NAQA Vice Head, who talked about the key aspects of post-accreditation monitoring, and the heads of sectoral expert councils – Myroslava Bosovska (SEC 24 “Service Sector”), Nataliia Shalimova (SEC 7.1 “Management and Administration”) and Iryna Trunina (SEC 7.2 “Management and Administration”), who outlined the sector-specific features of ensuring the quality of study programmes. The leader of study programme “Hotel and Restaurant Development” and dean of the Faculty of Technology and Business of SUTE, Nadiia Vedmid, presented best practices for the implementation of SUTE study programmes, and expert consultant on strategic hotel business management Olga Mishchenko spoke about the university’s strategic cooperation with stakeholders.

After the Q&A session, participants continued their work in the format of discussion sessions of sectoral expert councils 24, 7.1, and 7.2.

The event became a platform for exchanging experiences and discussing current challenges and prospects for the development of the higher education quality assurance system in the fields of tourism, hotel and restaurant business, and management.
