On November 4, 2025, the National Agency for Higher Education Quality Assurance conducted regional seminar “Current State of the Higher Education Quality Assurance System in Ukraine: Challenges and Prospects” at the Bohdan Khmelnytsky National University of Cherkasy.
During the event NAQA Head Andrii Butenko з focused on improving the internal quality assurance system using typical drawbacks in the development of study programs as examples, Vice Head Ivan Nazarov outlined the main aspects of post-accreditation monitoring of study programmes, Head of Secretariat Oleksandr Khymenko highlighted current issues related to accreditation certificates, and NAQA trainer Olena Knysh talked about the use of the “Clarification on the Criteria” as a self-assessment tool for higher education institutions.
The final stage of the seminar was a Q&A session, during which participants discussed specific practical situations, received explanations and recommendations on further steps to improve study programmes.
