The National Agency for Higher Education Quality Assurance expresses its deepest sorrow at the tragic death of Maryna Huba – an expert of NAQA, Associate Professor of the Department of Public Administration and Local Self-Government, and Head of the Centre for Quality Assurance in Education at Kherson National Technical University.
As recently as 18 November, Maryna signed her final expert panel report, continuing to carry out her professional duties with dedication. Yet on 24 November, her life was violently taken as a result of a russian shelling attack. This is a crime against the civilian population, and the loss of Maryna Huba is a profound and irreparable tragedy for the educational community of the Kherson region and for Ukraine as a whole.
Colleagues and students will remember her as a cultured, responsible, sincere and exceptionally warm-hearted person. She nurtured more than one generation of professionals who are now contributing to the development and recovery of the region, continuing the work to which Maryna Huba devoted her life.
We extend our heartfelt condolences to her family, friends, colleagues and the entire academic community.
