In January and February, the regular sessions of Module 3, ‘Human Resources Management’, of the Professional Development Programme for Academic Managers, initiated by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, are taking place. The programme is implemented by the British Council as part of the joint project with the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development, ‘Ukraine Improving Higher Education for Results’ (UIHERP). Speakers Andrii Butenko, NAQA Head, and Olena Yeremenko, Vice Head, are discussing approaches to developing quality assurance policies in higher education institutions.
The meetings are taking place at Mariupol State University for teams from higher education institutions based in Kyiv, with participants from Dnipro and Lviv joining the event online.
The key theme of the meetings is the role of people in higher education quality assurance processes. Participants discuss how management teams, lecturers and students influence the development of a culture of quality, decision-making and the development of internal quality assurance systems. Speakers are sharing practical insights, experiences of working with institutions, and their vision for the further development of the higher education quality assurance system in Ukraine.
