On 3 April, the 7th session of the “UAS QA Pool” training programme took place. The programme brings together active students interested in issues and procedures relating to quality assurance in higher education, as well as the role of students within the European Higher Education Area. The training programme was organised by the Ukrainian Association of Students in cooperation with NAQA, hosted by Donetsk State University of Internal Affairs in Kropyvnytskyi. Over 60 participants from across Ukraine attended the meeting.
NAQA Vice Head Olena Yeremenko highlighted the specific features of external quality assurance. Head of Secretariat Oleksandr Khymenko outlined issues related to the regulatory framework for quality assurance in higher education. Oxana Trebenko, Head of the Analytics and Training Support Department at NAQA, spoke about the role of the expert group in accreditation assessments and in the accreditation process, and also conducted a simulation of an accreditation visit and a review of case studies from actual assessments.
Training participants had the opportunity to try their hand at being an expert and gain skills in interviewing, document analysis and teamwork.
We would like to thank the Ukrainian Association of Students for their cooperation and for giving active students from across Ukraine the chance to interact and create new projects and initiatives.
