On 4 May 2026, Chișinău hosted the international event Study in Europe – EU Policy Event Moldova 2026, dedicated to advancing EU policies in higher education quality assurance and cross-border evaluation, with a particular focus on the Eastern Partnership countries.
NAQA Vice Head Nataliia Stukalo contributed as a speaker to the plenary panel discussion “National developments in QA in the light of ESG updates”, addressing contemporary national approaches to quality assurance in the context of the revised ESG.
She also moderated the session “Practices on Cross-Border Quality Assurance: Insights and Lessons Learned”, which focused on the practical dimensions of cross-border quality assurance. The discussion explored institutional motivations for engaging in such procedures, their implementation across diverse national contexts, challenges encountered at different stages, as well as the conditions necessary to ensure trust in outcomes and their effective use. The session brought together representatives of leading European and national institutions.
The event addressed key issues in higher education quality assurance and brought together representatives of higher education institutions from Erasmus+ Programme countries, the Eastern Partnership region, and the wider expert community. Discussions featured contributions from leadership representatives of ENQA and EQAR, quality assurance agencies, as well as student organisations, fostering a truly multi-stakeholder dialogue and meaningful exchange of experience. In total, the event gathered over 170 participants.
