On April 23-24, 2020, members of the National Agency took part in an evaluation visit to the Donetsk State University of Management (Mariupol) under the ERASMUS + EDUQAS project. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and quarantine measures, the visit was conducted online. The National Agency was represented by Nataliia Stukalo, Andriy Butenko, Iryna Zolotaryova and Albina Tsiatkovska, who participated in international expert groups, and evaluated two training programs – “Tourism” and “Conflict Management and Mediation”.
The expert group also included the representatives of Ukrainian, Bulgarian, French and Kazakh HEIs. During the site visit there were lively and fruitful discussions between the experts and stakeholders (including employers, students, graduates). The program benefits and possible areas for program improvement and development were discussed. An important element of the visit was to evaluate the activities of the quality assurance department of the Donetsk State University of Management (Mariupol), as well as to formulate and discuss recommendations for improving the quality of educational programs and the university internal quality assurance system. In the coming weeks, experts will work on preparing reports on the outcome of the visit.
Successful implementation of such format of the evaluation visit has demonstrated the ability of EDUQAS project participants to achieve their goals regardless of external circumstances, the flexibility in project management, willingness to withstand challenges and achieve the stated results in any conditions.
