On 16 July, a seminar “Dual Education in Higher Education Institutions: Prospects for Growth, the Balance Between Theoretical and Practical Training, and Criteria for Assessing Programme Quality” was held, organised by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine.
Nataliia Stukalo, Vice Head of the National Agency for Higher Education Quality Assurance, took part in the seminar as a speaker. During her presentation, she outlined the findings of an analysis conducted by NAQA on the development of dual higher education in Ukraine, focusing on the outcomes of the seminar “Dual Education: Experience, Assessment, Challenges”, which was organised by NAQA in Khmelnytskyi city, the results of a nationwide survey and the specifics of applying assessment criteria during the accreditation of study programmes delivered through the dual system.
Seminar participants discussed state policy on the development of dual education, practices for implementing dual study programmes in higher education institutions, prospects for scaling them up, and the specifics of assessing the quality of such programmes during accreditation.
