NAQA representatives took part in the meeting of the Union of Rectors of HEIs of Ukraine

On 21 August, NAQA Head, Nataliia Stukalo, and NAQA Vice Head, Ivan Nazarov, took part in a meeting of the Union of Rectors of Higher Education Institutions of Ukraine. The meeting was held at the National University of Life and Environmental Sciences of Ukraine.

During her address, Nataliia Stukalo reported that NAQA had successfully undergone an external evaluation, and the relevant expert report had already been published. The final decisions by ENQA and EQAR are expected in autumn 2026. The speaker emphasised that recognition of the Ukrainian quality assurance system would guarantee the inclusion of accreditation decisions in the DEQAR database, which would significantly enhance their international recognition. New initiatives were also presented — the preparation of guidelines for the implementation of voluntary institutional and cluster accreditation, designed to optimise procedures for assessing the quality of education.

In his address, Ivan Nazarov provided a detailed overview of the provisions of the Law of Ukraine “On Academic Integrity”. In particular, he outlined key regulatory innovations, the specifics of applying legislative requirements in higher education institutions, and the role of academic integrity as a fundamental standard for ensuring the quality of the educational process and research activities.
