Jean-Hugues Chauchat is an Emeritus Professor at the university Lumière Lyon2.
Obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Economics at the University Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne and a Master’s degree in Statistics at the Institut de statistique de Sorbonne Université, followed by a PhD in Applied Mathematics at the Université Claude Bernard Lyon 1.
Created and directed the Master “Statistics and Socio-Economic Informatics”, then the Franco-Ukrainian Master “Informatics, Data Science and Management”, common to the universities KNUE and Lyon2. He was a visiting professor at the University of Delaware (USA) during one semester.
Has participated in numerous international programmes, in particular in three European projects involving Ukrainian partners: SUCSID, MASTIS and DocHub. These projects have contributed to the modernisation of the curricula of Ukrainian universities and to the opening up of Ukrainian universities to society (companies, administrations and associations).
Jean-Hugues Chauchat is an elected member of the International Statistical Institute, and Honorary Professor of KNUE.
