With the support of the British Council in Ukraine, a series of trainings for trainers involved in the accreditation of higher education study programmes was launched in 2019. Since the establishment of the National Agency for Higher Education Quality Assurance (NAQA), more than 6,000 experts have been trained.

In spring 2019, the NAQA Secretariat’s Department for Experts’ Support began systematic training of potential accreditation experts. Candidates completed an online course followed by a two-day face-to-face session. To prepare trainers for these activities, a four-day train-the-trainer event was held in Kyiv on 10–13 September 2019, supported by the British Council and facilitated by specialists from the UK’s Quality Assurance Agency (QAA). Thirty-eight participants completed this training and subsequently conducted sessions nationwide on behalf of NAQA.
