NAQA Head Serhiy Kvit and NAQA members Nataliia Stukalo and Artem Artiukhov took part in the International Conference on Academic Integrity “Honesty, Trust, Unity: Academic Integrity & Education in a Globalized World”, organized by the Regional English Language Office (U.S. Embassy) in partnership with TESOL-Ukraine, the English Teachers Association of Georgia, and International Black Sea University, which took place online on February 1-4.
Speakers and conference participants discussed a number of issues of academic integrity that concern the educational environment around the world, including the nature of academic integrity and the definition of plagiarism; the main causes of plagiarism among students and the role of the teacher in preventing manifestations of academic dishonesty; ways and means of promoting academic integrity. NAQA members held a separate panel discussion on the role of the NAQA in shaping the culture of academic integrity in Ukraine, presented the experience and issues related to academic integrity during the accreditation of study programmes and other NAQA activities.
