On Friday, May 14, a meeting with representatives of the Independent Agency for Accreditation and Rating (IAAR, Kazakhstan) on joint accreditation of medical study programmes in Ukraine was held. At the beginning of the meeting, NAAR Director General Alina Zhumagulova presented NAAR’s experience in conducting accreditation of medical study programmes in Kazakhstan and other countries.
Starting in 2024, individuals applying for ECFMG Certification must be a student or graduate of a medical school that is appropriately accredited. More specifically, the school must be accredited by an accrediting agency that is officially recognized by the World Federation for Medical Education (WFME).
During the meeting, the participants discussed the possibilities of conducting joint accreditations of medical programs in Ukraine and identified further steps to implement this process.
