On September 21, 2021 the preventive monitoring of the “Open Practices, Transparency and Integrity for Modern Academia” (OPTIMA) project took place. NAQA is one of the project partners. Preventive monitoring includes collection and analysis of information regarding the current activities of all the partners, discussion of the management and financial aspects. It also gives an opportunity for stakeholders to share their opinion on the project. The main goal is to analyse the results and progress of the project implementation and to indicate possible risks and issues.
International Project Manager Albina Tsiatkovska presented NAQA activities within the project. During the project implementation, NAQA is responsible for the development of Monitoring and evaluation guidelines (quality plan).
NAQA representatives also participated in trainings on open science, open access and open peer review.
The expected innovative project outcome is an Open peer review platform and a platform of peer reviewers and researchers. NAQA supports the idea of applying the approaches of open science in the Ukrainian education and science, as they will enhance the quality of higher education and scientific research, level of academic integrity and would bring Ukraine closer to international and European standards.
In conclusion, the representatives of the National Erasmus+ Office in Ukraine Svitlana Shytikova, Zhanna Talanova and Kateryna Zhdanova provided the detailed feedback. They positively evaluated the work of all partners and listed a number of important recommendations for further implementation of the project.
