On October 28-30, 2020, within the frameworks of the project “Promoting Rule of Law and Human Rights Approaches in Higher Education”, implemented by the OSCE Project Co-ordinator in Ukraine a seminar on the topic “Strategic steps to improve the internal system of higher education quality assurance” organized by NAQA took place. Seminar aimed to discuss the recommendations for internal systems of higher education quality assurance and to improve the NAQA strategy.
During the three days of intense work, following experts took part in a seminar: Taras Finikov, President of the International Foundation for Educational Policy Research, Yuriy Rashkevych, Professor of Lviv Polytechnic National University, Andriy Boyko, Doctor of Law, Professor of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy National University, Oleksandr Sydelnikov, Candidate Dzvenislava Novakivska, National Marketing Manager and Transformation Session Facilitator, Georgy Kasyanov, President of the Institute for Educational Development, members of the National Agency and Secretariat staff. Participants were defining modern challenges and problems in the field of higher education quality assurance in Ukraine, were discussing concepts (selectivity assurance, features of study and research third level programs, Program leader definition), and considered the draft of guidelines for improving internal systems of higher education quality assurance.
Complying with the requirements of social distancing, sanitary norms and epidemiological measures, the synergy of caring professionals helped colleagues to communicate effectively, highlight inspiring achievements and define areas of work clearly.
