On Monday, February 21, a meeting was held with representatives of the Central Evaluation and Accreditation Agency (ZeVA, Germany). ZeVA is the first accreditation agency registered in Germany in 1995. ZEvA is active in the field of higher education quality assurance in Germany, Europe and beyond. The German agency is actively involved in the accreditation of study programmes in higher education institutions of Ukraine. So far, ZeVA has completed the accreditation procedure at Alfred Nobel University and Chernihiv Polytechnic National University. Some domestic HEIs are undergoing accreditation this year.
NAQA Head Serhiy Kvit, Vice-Head – Nataliia Stukalo, NAQA members – Liliya Janse, Natalia Avshenyuk and Petro Tsarenko and a international project manager Albina Tsiatkovska took part in the meeting. Among German colleagues were ZeVA Managing Director Henning Schäfer, Anja Grube, Head of Institutional Accreditation and International Affairs, Malte Huylmans, Project Officer in the fields of Program Accreditation and Barbara Haferkorn, Project Officer in the Department of Program Accreditation
Anja Grube and Nataliia Stukalo made presentations of agencies and their activities. During the meeting, the participants discussed the peculiarities of higher education systems and quality assurance in Ukraine and Germany, as well as the experience of accreditation of study programmes by German agencies in Ukraine, planned joint events and signing a memorandum for further cooperation.
