On February 16, 2022, NAQA representatives met online with colleagues from the Independent Agency for Recognition and Quality Assurance in Education (ARQA), Kazakhstan.
ARQA is a non-profit, non-governmental QA organisation, full member of INQAAHE and CEENQA.
From NAQA side the meeting was attended by the Vice-Head Nataliia Stukalo, NAQA members Oleksandr Dluhopolskyi and Volodymyr Medvediev, International Project Manager Albina Tsiatkovska and Iryna Zhaloba ― specialist of the Public Relations and International Cooperation Department. ARQA was represented by Dr. Prof. Nabi Yskak — Adviser to the ARQA Director, Shynar Suleimenova — Coordinator of the Higher Education Accreditation Department and Manager of the International Cooperation Department Shamil Danilov, who moderated the event.
NAQA Vice-Head Nataliia Stukalo presented NAQA to the participants, characterised its key activities, described particular features of the higher education system in Ukraine and aspects of accreditation procedures. She also gave precise answers to all additional questions regarding the national specifics in NAQA procedures and activities.
After the ARQA presentation by Shamil Danilov, participants were actively discussing potential ways of cooperation. Special attention of colleagues from Kazakhstan, was paid to the issue of training experts. NAQA pays a lot of attention to the training of experts, since the quality of accreditation results and conclusions directly depends on it, and NAQA is open to share this experience.
As a outcome of the Meeting, both sides expressed a strong interest in continuing cooperation, agreed to stay in touch and outlined the next steps of partnership establishment.
