On Thursday, April 28, NAQA Vice Head Nataliia Stukalo made a presentation “Higher education Quality assuranse during wartime” at the General Assembly of the European Association for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (ENQA). Ms. Nataliia drew the attention of the international community to the events taking place in Ukraine and the consequences for higher education, as well as outlined NAQA role in wartime.
ENQA recognizes that russia is not only at war with Ukraine, it is at war with Europe and the civilized democratic world. The General Assembly was attended by more than 100 representatives of ENQA member agencies and affiliates. The participants expressed solidarity with Ukraine and readiness to provide practical assistance to NAQA, Ukrainian HEIs, academicians and students.
Back in early March, ENQA suspended the rights of Member and Affiliate agencies in russia as a result of fundamental violation of values of higher education. NAQA is grateful for the ENQA support and is developing further steps to work with European agencies for the benefit of Ukrainian higher education.
