On July 13, NAQA signed an Agreement on cooperation with LLC Antyplagiat. During the meeting Andrii Sidliarenko, Director of Unicheck Ukraine, emphasised that one of the main goals of the company – to support quality education is impossible without adherence to academic integrity, especially through preventing plagiarism. The service is not only ready to provide technical support, but also to provide additional training for NAQA’s employees and experts.
NAQA Head, Andrii Butenko, expressed gratitude for the support and accented the importance of cooperation with Unicheck Ukraine. Joint work of NAQA and Unicheck is especially important with regard to adoption the Regulation for awarding the degree of Doctor of Philosophy (2022), which legally confirmed NAQA’s authority to review and make decisions on academic integrity violation. NAQA Vice Head Nataliia Stukalo noted the contiguity of the partners’ missions and expressed hope for fruitful cooperation of NAQA with Unicheck and other antiplagiarism companies, which will contribute to the formation of academic integrity culture in Ukraine.
It is important for the plagiarism inspection services to be used as tools for teaching academic writing and as an incentive for improvement, not as a means of persecution and punishment.
NAQA is grateful for cooperation with Unicheck Ukraine and hopes that the continuation of joint work in the sphere of improvement of quality of higher education in Ukraine will be productive and efficient.
