The connection between anti-corruption activities and academic integrity was discussed today at the working meeting of the project “Anti-corruption compliance in higher education: foreign and national experience “. The project was organized by the Association of Legal Clinics of Ukraine with the support of USAID.
Oleksandr Khymenko, Head of the Secretariat, told about the draft Law of Ukraine “On Academic Integrity”. The speaker also outlined the main aspects of the NAQA activities aimed at forming a culture of academic integrity in Ukraine. In general, during the meeting, the impact of corruption on the current state of education, tools for monitoring integrity and the role of the main higher education stakeholders in implementing anti-corruption compliance at all levels were analyzed.
Sharp questions gave rise to lively discussions between the participants, the result of which should obviously become the high-quality implementation of the project useful to Ukrainian education.
