On May 11, a round table “Up-to-date issues of music education” was held, organized by the Prokofiev Academy Of Arts of V.I. Vernadsky Taurida National University.
During the event, the participants discussed a number of important issues that hinder the development of music education at all levels in Ukraine. Oleksandr Khymenko, Head of the NAQA Secretariat, took part in the discussion and spoke about the most common shortcomings of study programmes in the field of knowledge 02 “Culture and art”, revealed in the process of accreditation and possible ways to overcome them.
The participants of the round table expressed their views on the content and organization of Ukrainian music education and agreed on the consolidation of efforts and future cooperation to improve its quality.
