On 15 June, representatives of NAQA met with Richard Nash, Director of the Center for Anti-Corruption and Democratic Trust at the International Foundation for Electoral Systems (IFES).
IFES actively cooperates with Ukrainian universities in the field of anti-corruption and integrity, as well as develops optional courses on anti-corruption and democracy for bachelor’s and master’s degrees.
During the meeting, Vice Head Olena Yeremenko shared the algorithms of NAQA ‘s activities, the information system that ensures full transparency of the accreditation process and answered questions about the procedures for reviewing cases of academic plagiarism, falsification and fabrication. Olena Loban, a specialist of the PR and international cooperation department, told about NAQA’s cooperation with foreign agencies and international organizations in the field of academic integrity.
Integrity in education is essential for the development of democratic values among students and, thus, in the development of civil society in Ukraine.
