From October 14th to 19th, within the IMINQA staff mobility project, Olena Yeremenko and Iryna Simshah visited the Estonian Quality Agency for Education (HAKA). During their visit, Olena and Iryna observed the institutional accreditation procedure at the Estonian Aviation Academy and went to the University of Tartu, where they discussed issues related to internal quality assurance with Professor Aune Valk, Vice Rector for Academic Affairs. They also interacted with Ukrainian students, who demonstrated their understanding of quality assurance processes and offered suggestions for improvement in Ukraine.
A significant part of the visit was the trip to the Estonian Research Council (ERC), where discussions centred on research evaluation, the role of the Estonian Research Information System, and ERC’s role as a coordinator of research integrity.
The delegation gathered valuable insights into HAKA’s operations and explored possibilities for future collaboration with their Estonian counterparts.
