On March 6, Zhytomyr Ivan Franko State University hosted a regional methodological seminar “Internal quality assurance as an effective tool for changes in the university”, which united pedagogical and scientific staff not only from the region, but also from all over Ukraine, interested in QA issues, in particular, guarantors of study programmes, rectors and heads of structural units, as well as employees of units responsible for the internal system of higher education quality assurance.
The seminar was opened by the rector of the Zhytomyr Ivan Franko State University Halyna Kyrychuk, NAQA Head Andris Butenko and the deputy head of the Zhytomyr Oblast Military Administration Yuriy Denysovets.
In his speech, Andrii Butenko talked about the role of the internal QA system in the development of the university. NAQA Vice Head Nataliia Stukalo analyzed the issue of post-accreditation monitoring and its compliance with the European vector of development of Ukrainian higher education. NAQA Vice Head Olena Yeremenko overviewed the challenges of implementing institutional policies of internal quality assurance systems in HEIs and NAQA Board member Oleksandr Dluhopolskyi talked about the use of AI and Big Data to improve the quality of teaching and learning (on the example of fields 05 and 07).
The event ended with a presentation of digitalization practices of internal quality assurance systems of Zhytomyr Ivan Franko State University and Zhytomyr Polytechnic State University.
