On 6 May 2024, NAQA took part in the International Partners’ Forum hosted by the Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education (QAA, UK), which was joined by colleagues from foreign accreditation agencies from more than 20 countries worldwide. This year the topic of discussion was the transnational education (TNE) framework.
During the first part of the forum, Janet Ilieva, founder and director of Education Insight, presented the QAA’s research on Transnational Education Systems for Global Engagement. The aim of this study is to facilitate TNE engagement at the global level, improve understanding of local contexts and educational priorities, and share best practices across countries. During the second part, participants exchanged their understanding of transnational education and identified key elements of measuring the quality of education in different countries.
NAQA and QAA signed a Memorandum of Understanding in January 2022, where the parties agreed to share experiences, support each other in important and significant projects, and cooperate in areas of mutual interest.
