On 27 May, the week-long training ‘’Enhancing Higher Education‘’ started as part of the TALENT4UA project (“Strengthening PhD education in Ukraine for sustainable growth of academic careers”), organised by the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH).
The first day of the training was devoted to ensuring and improving the quality of higher education, highlighting European, in particular Swedish, approaches and institutional perspectives. The participants discussed effective practices and challenges, as well as methodological aspects of active involvement of the academic community in implementing changes and improving educational standards.
Andrii Butenko NAQA Head and Ihor Oleksiv NAQA Board member are taking part in the training.
During one of the workshops, representatives of the Ukrainian educational community showed a video of the destruction of Ukrainian higher education institutions prepared by NAQA. The video deeply impressed the training participants, who realised the tragedy of the circumstances in which our higher education system is facing during the war. We must actively use every opportunity to remind our European partners of the need to support Ukraine and Ukrainian education in this difficult and dangerous time, when the enemy is destroying not only people, but also our education and culture.
