On December 9, a seminar “Challenges and Prospects of Higher Education Quality Assurance in Ukraine” took place at the National University of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy.
NAQA Head Andrii Butenko, Vice Head Olena Yeremenko, and Head of Secretariat Oleksandr Khymenko conducted the event for educators, study programme leaders, and experts. Participants were introduced to key changes in the regulatory framework of the evaluation process, new approaches to accreditation procedures, the application of Criteria for assessing the quality of study programmes, as well as legal aspects of evaluation formats.
‘We do not measure the quality of the study programme by the success of students, nor do we check students, study programme leaders or the system separately. Only the synergy of these elements can serve as a quality indicator of a high level educational process,’ emphasised Andrii Butenko, NAQA Head.
At the end of the event, the speakers held a Q&A session, during which participants had the opportunity to receive clarifications on the practical implementation of new approaches in ensuring the quality of higher education.
