On May 14, 2025, the educational project “Students as Ambassadors of Quality: Training on Improving Study Programmes” was launched. It is organised by the Ukrainian Students League in cooperation with the National Agency for Higher Education Quality Assurance. The initiative is carried out as part of a Memorandum of cooperation signed by the two organisations on December 14, 2024.
The event was opened by Nataliia Stukalo, NAQA Vice Head, and Khrystyna Saveiko, Chair of the Executive Board of the Public Association “Ukrainian Students League”. The project brought together representatives of student councils from Kyiv universities in the lecture halls of American University Kyiv.
The first day focused on key concepts in the field of quality assurance in education, the students’ role in these processes, and the opportunities they have to influence study programmes. Among the moderators of the training sessions were NAQA representatives — Nataliia Stukalo, Oksana Trebenko, and Maksym Folomieiev — as well as Serhii Burian, Chair of Sectoral Expert Council 14.
This educational project provides students with tools to analyse the quality of study programmes and to develop their own initiatives for improvement. It is one of several similar initiatives aimed at increasing student involvement in quality assurance processes within their institutions.
