A meeting was held between NAQA Management and representatives of the Ukrainian Students League to discuss prospects for cooperation between the organisations.
NAQA Vice Head Nataliia Stukalo emphasised the key students’ role as a driving force for change in Ukrainian education: “In the Ukrainian quality assurance system, student experts have the same rights, responsibilities, and voting power as academic staff members. The opinion and recommendations of a student expert carry the same weight as those of a professor, which is also reflected in the remuneration for their work.”
“It is important to us that every student understands how they can initiate change in their environment – even if they are the only one taking the initiative. Students should know how to act, and most importantly, how to teach others to act,” said Danylo Shchohol, First Vice Chair of the Executive Board.
Representatives of the Ukrainian Students League shared their own initiatives in the field of higher education quality assurance, outlined their vision for cooperation with NAQA, and expressed a strong desire to implement joint educational projects. The meeting also included discussions on directions for future collaboration.
